Choice and Implementation of Scientific Competition and Development Strategies for Second-movers
Confronted with the invasion from strong foreign enterprises, second-movers, normally emerging in developing countries, are always in the passive position of receiving blows. Among all the disadvantaged conditions, the behindhand scientific and technological strength is the common ground for all the second-movers. In the present paper, the basic characteristics of second-movers are described. The competition circumstance of science and technology as well as the market features of second-movers around the world are analyzed. The present situation and the main problems of scientific work of second-movers are presented. The choice of scientific competition strategies and the detailed actualization of scientific development strategies for second-movers are expounded by taking the Chinese enterprises as examples.
