Basic Linearization Control Method Matching Solid Density Standard for Printing Process

The linearization for the proofing device is vital in establishing the digital proofing environment, it usually includes total ink quantity control, monochromatic channel ink quantity settings, linearization as well as quality control and gray balancing control. In which monochromatic channel ink adjustment is very important. In view of the color matching effect in digital proofing, a new linearization method is proposed in this article, the linearization for the proofing device is done by matching solid density standard for printing process. Using the new linearization method, the color matching effect was improved in the specific digital proofing environment. The experimental data indicates that the color gamut matches better and the final digital proofing average color difference is reduced compared with the ordinary control method.
