The Influence of Vertical Distance Between Floor Roadway and Upper Coal Pillar on Stability of Surrounding Rock

Based on the actual geological condition of south raise in ChaiLi mine, the distribution and characteristic of the surrounding rock stress induced by mining, the relation between the distortion of surrounding rock and vertical distance from upper coal was analyzed, the results show that the stress distribution in floor terrane is the direct reflection of abutment stress on roof; The surrounding rock stress in floor under upper coal pillar will obviously advance under the action of coal pillars load; The roadway under goaf also should be certain vertical distance from upper coal pillar; The stress distribution condition in floor present spread condition, larger the vertical distance between roadway and upper coal pillar, more advantageous to the maintenance of roadway; It have power function relation between deformation of surrounding rock and vertical distance of roadway from upper coal pillar; Under the medium stable condition of surrounding rock, the advantageous vertical distance between roadway in floor and upper coal pillar is 10m, the function of reducing surrounding rocks distortion is unconspicuous if the vertical distance exceed the value.
