An investigation into self locking condition of a cam structure medical micro-valve
To ensure the reliability of a cam structure medical digital micro valve, the functions between critical friction coefficients and related structure parameters of the friction couples in it were set up. Simulation results show that, in order to insure the cam can rotate to any angle, the radius of bulgy circle on the cam must be bigger than the eccentricity; The critical friction coefficient between the bulgy circle and the spool increases dramatically when the eccentricity decreases and the radius of bulgy circle increases; the critical friction coefficient between the spool and spool cover increases dramatically when the eccentricity and the radius of bulgy circle decrease.
