Automated Synthesis of 18F-Fluoroacetate Using Ezplora FDG4 Module
As radio-labeled acetate is a good candidate to detect glial metabolism in brains and prostate cancer, ethyl and sodium 18Ffluoroacetates were utilized in clinical PET check. A simple and fast method for preparation of ethyl and sodium 18Ffluoroacetates using Explora FDG4 module has been established. By this development, it has become possible to obtain ethyl and sodium 18Ffluoroacetate in a short synthesis time of 39 and 43 min and with a reproducible radiochemical yield of 49.6 ± 4.7% and 43.1 ± 5.2%, (decay corrected). The radiochemical purity of ethyl and sodium 18Ffluoroacetates were more than 95%.
