Simulation of Induced Electric Field Distribution Based on Five-shell Spherical Model Used in rTMS
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a high technology that uses the induced electromagnetic to diagnose and therapy disease. Although there are many researches working on distributing of magnetic and electric field, the static electric filed could be neglected or computed roughly. In this paper, a five-shell spherical model used on rTMS is presented. According to the different dielectric properties of the head tissues, the Laplace equation of static electric field is solved by both of Gauss theorem and currents continuity principle. This model is useful to get the parameters of the most focus coil to promote the development of rTMS stimulator.
