Coupled methods for effective degradation of harmful chlorobenzene
With the high speed development of chemical, pharmaceutical and pesticides industry, more and more chloro-organic wastewater will discharged into the environment. The wastewater will cause great damages to the environment public health because the halogenated organic matter has characters of biology toxicity, persistence, and environment build-up effect. Aerated biological packing tower sono-reactors are both valid equipment treating chlorobenzene (CB). This paper compares the effects of these two equipments when used the treatment of CB, mainly in respect of initial concentration, reaction time, aeration intensity, and ultrasonic frequency. Besides, it pays close attention to the resultant effects of degradation CB by coupling of reverberation ultrasonic reactor with aerated biological packing tower.
