Methodology of Integrated Knowledge Management in Lifecycle of Product Development Process
This paper first provides a literature review ofproduct development and knowledge managementincluding product development process, design historyand domain knowledge. It then presents a method forthe knowledge-based multi-view process modelingincluding process implementation, process monitoring,and knowledge management. The integrated frameworkand hierarchical model of the design history is built.The relationship among process history, design intentand domain knowledge is analyzed, and the method foracquisition and management of process history, designintent and domain knowledge is presented Thefunctional modules of knowledge-based PDPM systemare described, and the architecture of integratedknowledge management (IKM) system based on PDPMis set up and developed with a B/C/S structure. Thesystem is used successfully during the lifecycle of a newtype of railway rolling stock development in a Chineseenterprise.
