An Epistemological View of Collaboration

摘要：

Ubiquitous computing and universal networkconnectivity have given rise to expectations of buildinga Digital Society, where many aspects of business andsocial activities may be accomplished by remoteparticipants. Majority of the CSCW tools have beendeveloped with plethora of tools providing variousfunctionalities. These tools, however, have failed toreduce the complexities involved in using and managingthem. A new generation of CSCW systems is required toharness innovative technologies to enact smoothcollaboration among the constituents of the digitalsociety.
