The Extraction of Moving Object in Real-time Web-based Video Sequence
This paper presents an efficient moving objectsegmentation algorithm for real-time web-basedmultimedia communication systems. To extract themoving objects regions from the sequence, the foregroundof moving objects isn t used directly, but the backgroundimage is obtained firstly, based on motion information.This algorithm is motivated by the assumption thatmoving objects usually have intensity changes betweensuccessive frames. First, obtaining background masktechnique is used to construct a reliable backgroundimage from the accumulated frame difference informationbetween successive frames in a sequence. The movingobject region is then separated from the backgroundregion by comparing the current frame with theconstructed background image. Then, a post-processingusing morphological filter operation is used to removenoise regions and produce a more smooth shapeboundary.
