A Fast Asst Motion Estimation Algorighm Based on Diamond and Line Search Parrerns

摘要：

Based on the study of patterns used in many fastalgorithms for the block-matching motion estimation(BMME),a new search pattern,LP(Line searchPattern),was introduced in this paper.LP is also asimplified square search pattern as TP(Trianglesearch Pattern).By combing LP with DP(Diamondsearch Pattern),a fast BMA(BMME Algorithm),DLS(Diamond-Line Search),was also proposed in thispaper.Experimental results show that DLS canreduce the computational complexity of the BMMEremarkably while incurring little,if any,loss inquality.
