Research & Application of Metadata Management System Based on Data Warehouse for Banks

摘要：

The metadata plays an essential role in datawarehouse for banks.Based on system developingexperience,the paper discusses the categories andfunctions of metadata,and elaborates how to usemetadata to manage system.At last the paper presentsthe architecture of a Metadata Management Systembased on data warehouse for banks,and illustratedand analyzed its structure.Application results showthat the schema can effectively increase the ability ofdata analysis and management;it also can improvethe flexibility and expansibility of the decision systemsuch as data warehouse for banks.
