STUDY AND APPLICATION OF SHAPE MEMORY ALLOYS DAMPERS IN SEISMIC RESISTANT OF THE SHEAR WALL STRUCTURE OF LARGE SPAC-E AT LOW PART
Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) has a good application prospect in vibration control of structures. Hence, the study on SMA dampers and the structural vibration control with these dampers has considerable value.The shear wall structure of large space at low part is commonly used in the commercial buildings for its smart function of application. But for the smaller bottom stiffness and the bigger story drift, as shown in the investigations, its liable to serious damage in the earthquake without special method such as seismic control technique. On the basis of earthquake response characteristics of this structure, the thesis presents a new style of SMA damper and its application for earthquake resistant of this structure. The paper also represents the material property tests and results of a kind of NiTi Austenite Pseudoelasticity SMA wire whose energy dissipation capability is reviewed, and analyzes the influences of strain range value, frequency of loading, cycle index,working temperature; then based on this test a passive energy dissipation pull-push damper is designed, which is applied to the shear wall structure of large space at low part. The research shows that its obvious to decrease the earthquake response of this structure with this SMA damper.
