Creating Brand New Pump Performance Curves and Optimize System Curve by Integrated Pump, Hydraulic and Drive Solutions, to Save More Energy and Reduce Maintenance
We all familiar with traditional shape of pump performance curves, and knew that there is a series of variable speed curves when the pump w/VFD. But, these existing pump performance curves can be manipulated to some brand new shape curves, to intersect the system curve variable better, when integrated pump technology, hydraulic knowledge, and advance VFD control solutions. Pump performance taking into account the friction lost variable and PV requirement automatically enables us to save more energy in more potential area of pump performance and enhance pump reliability, than using standard VFD w/pump simply. Pump operators can easily enable and disable or change these new pump performance curves in minutes by presetting the parameters of the advance control solutions, according to different applications. This is available for an existing pump. We can precisely protect pump from entry into dangerous performance area, without the need of any external signal to monitor. Pump performance decrease can also be detected to predict maintenance. So, pump performance curves optimization is a new area to improve the efficiency, energy saving and reliability. On the other hand, system curve also can be optimized to save more energy and reduce maintenance. The variety of friction lost is often forgotten. There is lot of energy save potential during it varies. We can measure flow rate w/o flowmeter. We also can control the PV w/o control valve. These reduce the friction loss and maintenance cost in the system. System curve optimizations reduce the head that pumps have to meet before, which further enable us to save energy from system. Sum up, integrated both pump performance curve optimization and system curve optimization, is most efficient way to save more energy and reduce maintenance in Pumping system.
