Advanced Energy Saving Technologies for Pump Systems
Pumps and pump systems are used worldwide in a wide range of applications. Examples for applications are power generation plants, chemical industry, food industry and building services. The analysis of the energy consumption in the mentioned applications has shown that pumps are one of the main energy consumers. Advanced technologies used for the drive and the design of the hydraulic parts of pumps are explained in the presentation. Afterwards the effect on the energy consumption of pumps in different technologies in an application is presented. The energy saving potential of a system approach is investigated on the application examples.
