Construction and Evaluation of Enterprise Crisis Management Mechanism: Inspiration of HEXIE Management Theory from China
Enterprise crisis management (ECM) becomes more and more crucial for modern companies, and the construction and evaluation of ECM mechanism have turned into vital contents of modem enterprise management. In this paper,we review current studies on ECM mechanism and classify them into two categories. The first category only focuses on crisis response instead of the whole ECM process, and the second category mainly based on the life cycle of ECM instead of the natural time dimension of companies developing process, ignores the common intrinsic principles and mechanism in all the stages and sections of ECM. On the basis of analyzing the insufficiencies in the existing research, we advocate constructing and evaluating ECM mechanism in virtue of the inspiration of HEXIE Management Theory from China and explore the corresponding conceptual models. The HEXIE-Management-Theory-based conceptual models are more comprehensive than the first category and more systematical and operable than the second category of research.
