EXPERIMENTAL SETUP FOR MEASURING HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP IN CIRCULAR MICROCHANNELS AT LOW TEMPERATURES

This paper presents an experimental setup for measuring heat transfer and pressure drop in narrow channels for both single and two phase flow at temperatures below -100 ℃. Tubes with different diameter ranging from 2 mm to 0.25 mm can be used with single or multi component fluids. The manner of operation, measurement concept and measurement program is presented, along with measurement constraints.
