INFLUENCE OF DOOR OPENINGS ON TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATION AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF REFRIGERATED DISPLAY CABINET

According to ANSI/ASHRAE STD 117-1192, the 8-hour door opening experiment was carried out on the on-load refrigerated display cabinet with vacuum-glazing doors. Initially, temperature fluctuation was little, while there was an apparent temperature rise 5 hours later. Energy consumption increased by 28%, compared with stable condition. The results strongly suggest that temperature fluctuation and energy consumption be greatly affected by cold jet, followed by infiltration. Furthermore, the outlet air temperature is vital to temperature fluctuation and energy consumption. Temperature fluctuation attributes much to its turning point, and its initial drop-off amplitude is of significance to energy consumption.
