DECISION ANALYSIS METHOD OF EMERGENCY VENTILATION TO PROTECT OCCUPANT FROM INDOOR CONTAMINANT BY EFFICIENCY FACTOR OF CONTAMINANT SOURCE (EFCS)
With the recent occurrence of epidemic and biochemical terrorism, people are paying more and more attentions to emergency strategy decision-making to protect occupants from indoor contamination when emergency occurs. The effects of these strategies depend heavily on the certainty of contaminant source location. This paper summarizes the certainty of source location into three types: completely certain, incompletely certain, and completely uncertain. The corresponding decision-making models are developed further. Thirty cases are studied numerically to demonstrate the application of these models. It is shown that these models can be useful to direct ventilation strategy as well as evacuation strategy because both kinds of strategies are considered to determine an optimal response.
