A LIQUID DESICCANT COOLING SYSTEM WITH TOTAL HEAT RECOVERY
A liquid desiccant cooling system with total heat recovery of exhaust air is proposed in this paper, in order to improve indoor air quality and decrease the energy consumption of the air-conditioning system. Operating principles of both the total heat recovery device and fresh air processor using liquid desiccant are presented in details. The whole system includes a sub-system of air process cycle, a sub-system of water process cycle and a sub-system of solution cycle. Liquid desiccant has the potential to remove number of pollutants, improving indoor air quality. The system is with full fresh air and without CFCs refrigerator. Experimental tests show that: based on the typical climatic conditions in Shanghai city, energy efficiency ratio(EER) is around 0.7, and the fresh air can be treated to 19℃, which can satisfied the comfortable air-conditioning needs.
