THE RISE OF SCROLL EFFICIENCY BY REFRIGERANT INJECTION
Compressors scroll are widely used in the refrigeration, AC and heat pump technologies. The correct application of the individual line of the scroll models can significantly improve the economical aspects of an installation. There are several methods how to make the installation as advantageous as possible. Some of the ways are the proper choice of the correct type of scroll or to use the EVI system offered by the manufacturer. The paper deals with one of the method how to increase the performances of a system using scroll compressors in a heat pump application. The method called EVI (enhanced vapour injection) is more and more used also in some heat pump installations. The EVI method has its origin in the system of discharge temperature decreasing using liquid refrigerant. The combination of a heat exchanger after condenser and special type of scroll could make significant influence to the scroll efficiency improvement.
