Study on Ventilation Flow Field and Air Quality of Mine Heading Face
Mine heading face is a kind of special underground working space, and the air quality is very important to the operators health. According to characteristic of heading face, this paper presents the local air age and mean air age of heading face, and the definition of air quality as well as numerical model. With numerical calculating ventilation flow field and mean air age of heading face, the paper analyzes the relationship between air age and air quality, between ventilation flow field and air age. Air age is chiefly impacted by airflow organization and ventilation rate. On the other hand, air quality is chiefly impacted by air age and pollutant concentration. The improvement in air quality of heading face is rational to ventilation quantity and velocity as well as airflow organization, for the sake of the operators being around the flow of good air quality. The conclusion of this research provides a new theory for improving the ventilation availability of heading face.
