Study of deuterium capillary condensation on porous silica aerogels
One of the high gain target concepts proposed for direct-drive inertial fusion energy (IFE) applications uses liquid DT fuel that is supported by a low density nanoporous aerogel to replace the solid DT fuel.In this paper,the aggregation characteristics of D2 on nanoporous silica aerogels have been simulated by grand canonical monte carlo (GCMC).
