Pleomorphic adenoma of the subglottis: a case report and review of literature
Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common neoplasm of the major salivary glands, in particular of the parotid gland.It can be found occasionally outside the major and minor salivary glands of the oral cavity.Tumors arising from salivary glands are extremely rare located in the larynx, and there are even fewer reports of pleomorphic adenomas in subglottis.This report describes a rare case of woman presenting with difficult breathing and lastly diagnosised as pleomorphic adenoma located in the subglottis.The clinical feature, pathology, surgical outcom of this rare case and the literature review will be presented.
