BM3D Denoising on Computed Tomography Reconstruction from
Computed tomography technique has made a revolutionary impact on three-dimensional reconstruction, it can reconstruct the internal organization from a collection of projection data. But it is not always possible to acquire enough projections in practical applications, which can be attributed to the insufficient data reconstruction problem, and the reconstructed image has severe artifacts appearing as noise in this condition. In this paper, we develop and investigate a reconstruction algorithm based on Algebraic Reconstruction Technique (ART) combined with Total Variation (TV) and Block-matching and 3D filter (BM3D).Compared to the effective Total Variation (TV) method, we can achieve better results. The experiments also show the proposed algorithm is significantly better than the traditional iterative image reconstruction algorithm.
